◆  A FOUNDER'S NOTE

I'm 20, I built a gum brand, and my marketing plan is a lab certificate

The whitening aisle insulted my intelligence. This was my answer.

Two years ago I stood in a supermarket oral-care aisle reading labels, because that is the kind of person I am. Forty products promised me a transformation. Not one of them told me the dose of anything. The more a box shouted, the less it disclosed. I remember thinking: this category believes I am stupid.

So I did what label-readers do. I went home and read the actual research. What I found was more interesting than anything on the shelf: enamel is about 97 percent one mineral, hydroxyapatite. Your own saliva returns that mineral to the surface all day. And in Japan, hydroxyapatite has been used in oral care since 1980, four decades of ingredient-level research the European aisle never mentions.

The problem was never that honest oral care is impossible. It is that dishonest oral care sells fine.

I decided the product I wanted had three requirements. It had to work through a real mechanism, not a promise: a gum, because chewing drives the saliva that does the repairing, and it carries the mineral into the after-coffee hours a toothbrush cannot reach. It had to print its numbers: 5.7 mg of nano-hydroxyapatite per piece, on the label, with the batch certificate public and all 14 ingredients listed. And it had to say out loud what it cannot do: it does not replace brushing and it does not fix a cavity. If a claim needs a study, we link the study. If there is no study, we do not make the claim.

Minvelle is that product. I am Max, I am 20, I run this brand from Austria, and I answer the customer emails myself. There is no big team and no ad-agency gloss; when you email us, the founder reads it. The guarantee is the same plain deal as the label: 30 days, money back, on unopened boxes.

I built this for the people who flip the box over before they look at the front. If that is you, the label is waiting, and it will answer questions the rest of the aisle will not.

Try it for 30 days. If it is not for you, the money-back guarantee covers unopened boxes.
