Before you buy remineralizing gum, check these five label details. Thirteen of fifteen brands fail the first one.

Fifteen brands, Minvelle included, scored on the same five questions, every answer linked to the brand's own label. Type your email, the report opens on the next page.

  • "Nano" on the box means nothing on its own. The one number that does, and why most brands leave it off.
  • "Dentist formulated" with no dentist named. What that phrase is worth, and how to test it in one search.
  • The label line you should never accept before you pay, on any gum, from any brand.
  • Have you been reading the ingredient list wrong? The order tells you something. The amounts tell you everything.

What people type before they buy

Nobody asks which gum is best. They ask whether any of it is real.

The most-clicked questions in this category last month were "is [brand] legit" and "does remineralizing gum actually do anything". A review cannot answer that, because a review is about mint. The five checks can, and they take a minute.

"Frustrated that reviews only cover flavor."

The five checks

One minute per brand. Then you know who is hiding what.

1

The dose, in milligrams

Two of fifteen brands state one. If it takes more than a minute to find, it is not published.

2

The particle, with a size

"Nano" is a word. 200 nm is a number. A brand that knows its material gives the number.

3

Ingredients, with amounts

Names are half an answer. Amounts are the answer. Most brands stop at names.

4

A document, not a badge

A graphic that says "tested" proves nothing. A file proves what it covers. Page 5 shows how to read one.

5

A policy that matches the page

Three brands say 60 days on the page and 30 in the policy. One says final sale.

Two rows from the table. Names are in the report.

Why are we publishing this?

Because we are one of the fifteen. We publish our dose per piece and the documents we have, including the gaps. Anyone who runs the five checks will see that in a minute, and a brand that cannot pass its own checklist has no business publishing one. This report is a bet: check, and you will see who answers and who does not.

Who wrote this

A gum brand that grades itself on the same scale as everyone else.

Minvelle is an Austrian oral-care brand run by its founder. We keep a public database of every hydroxyapatite gum we can find, graded on what each brand publishes, us included. Where we fall short, the table says so with the date. Corrections go to max@minvelle.com and are fixed in public.
