Solé Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 5, 2026
Solé is made by MaxLife Trading GmbH, Linz, Austria. This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: almost everything stays on your phone.
What we collect and why
Location. With your permission, Solé uses your location to fetch the UV forecast for where you are, via Apple's WeatherKit. Your location is used on your device for this lookup and is not stored on our servers. If you decline, the app falls back to a default location and marks its numbers as estimated.
Photos and skin readings. Skin checks are analyzed entirely on your device. Your photos and the readings derived from them (redness, tan shade) never leave your phone. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.
Your quiz answers and settings. Your skin type, session history, and preferences are stored on your device.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate subscription status; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your receipt data, not your name or email. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
What we do not do
- No advertising or tracking. The app contains no ad SDKs and no third-party analytics.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No accounts. You never give us your name or email to use the app.
Notifications
If you enable sun reminders, scheduling happens locally on your device. We do not send remote push notifications.
Health disclaimer
Solé provides sun-timing estimates and on-device skin readings for general wellness purposes. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, correction, and erasure. Because your data lives on your device, you exercise most of these directly: deleting the app removes your data. For anything else, or any privacy question, contact us.
