Solé Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and MaxLife Trading GmbH, Linz, Austria ("we") for the use of the Solé app.

What Solé is, and is not

Solé estimates safe sun exposure windows from public UV models and the skin type you select, and reads redness and tan shade from photos on your device. These are estimates for general wellness purposes.

Solé is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice. UV exposure carries inherent risk regardless of any estimate the app shows. You remain responsible for your own sun behavior, including using sunscreen and avoiding burns. If you have a skin condition, a history of skin cancer, or take photosensitizing medication, talk to a doctor before deliberate sun exposure. Never use the app to evaluate moles or skin lesions.

Subscriptions

Parts of Solé require a paid subscription (annual at $79.99/year with a 7-day free trial, or monthly at $12.99/month; local prices may vary). Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings. The annual trial converts to a paid subscription on day 7 unless canceled. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse engineer the app or use it in ways that break the law. The app, its design, and its content are our property; we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use it.

Liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the app, including sunburn or other harm from sun exposure. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for intent or gross negligence.

Changes and termination

We can update the app and these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. We can suspend access for abuse.

Governing law

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
